Capital Waste Learning:
This is a unique interactive website which aims to raise awareness, and set practical activities, around the amount of waste generated within London, and how much of it can be recycled. It is created in conjunction with education professionals specialising in curriculum planning at Key Stage 3 and 4, is constructed for use as a free teaching tool for London's secondary schools.

Waste Watch:
Waste Watch is the national organisation that works with community groups, local authorities and industry to educate, inform and raise awareness on waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Established in 1987, it is supported by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, its membership and business sponsors. It provides educational projects, information, consultancy, publications, training events, campaigning and advocacy for all sectors.

WEN:
WEN is a unique, vital and innovative campaigning organisation, which represents women and campaigns on issues, which link women, environment and health. Formed in 1988, it is a registered charity and membership organisation that depends on its members, donations and limited grant support for survival. Central to WEN's approach is the belief that women have the right to information to enable them to make fair choices. We also believe a precautionary approach is healthiest for people and the planet.

Freecycle™:
Freecycle™ is a way that people who have things they want to get rid of can find people who can use them.  Freecycle operates on the internet, membership is free and it is run at a local community level by volunteers.  Simply sign up and either search for products you want, or post a description of the product you want to get rid of.  This helps keep unwanted products out of the waste-stream and gives them a new life with a new owner.

Greater London Authority:

North London Waste Plan:
The seven North London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest have joined together to prepare the North London Waste Plan. The Plan will consider what to do with all waste in the area up to 2020 and will identify sufficient sites to deal with this waste.
